Salim Daud Mussah is very soulful, passionate and stirring Malawian Saxophonist, Worshipper Singer, a Songwriter and an apostle. A husband to Loyce and a father to Wavhudi, Elshaddai, Jedidiah and Israel. A brother to Sakina, Rashid, Ghulam, Sheick, Sheila, Rossanie, Rosemin, Ali, Rosha and Marium. He joined a choir at the age of 10, at the age of 12 he was inspired by his uncle Mr. Neckson Amos to play piano. He then moved to South Africa to study electrical engineering where he met an amazing father, mentor and friend McCoy Mrubata (lifetime achievement award) who taught him how to play the saxophone. Salim is a professional musician accredited by Malawi Music crossroads.

Salim has since played with a lot of musicians in Malawi, including Lulu, West Cole, kelly kay, Eric Paliane and The International Move Band 2017. He played in a band called Mbanaye, signed under Ujeni Records. Devine Essence band we played for e-toll SANRAL’s opening ceremony in 2011. 2014 He formed a band Called the Remnants Band (karabo on piano, Andani on drumms, Lavido Chretien Lukusa on guitar, salim on bass. 2022-2023 salim played for Lawi as part of the mango band.

2023 he has played as solo artist at latitude, Umodzi park, Lavista and many places. His latest Album Titled Yesu bwenzi Langa was Launched on the 21 december 2024 at Madsoc Theatre.

Salim is a minister and a worshipper of The Lord God Almighty and believes in the power of the holy spirit.
